The Cost of War

THE COST OF WAR

Literally hundreds of billions of US tax-payer dollars are being spent on a war that many see as unjustified. Many people also see the Iraq war as the government's problem, not the citizens'. However, the citizens are the ones paying for it. To find out the amount of money being spent at this very moment, and where that money could be going, check out http://www.nationalpriorities.org/costofwar/index.html. This website is hosted by the National Priorities Project, which estimates the cost of war based on what Congress has allocated for the Iraq war.

Last note: the cost of war is set to reach $204.6 billion by the end of this fiscal (tax) year - September 2005! To do something about it, go to the Voices in the Wilderness website. -Naiema
